Talmidim of Cheder Levi Yitzchok in Melbourne, Australia, celebrated Chai Elul with an immersive program created by the Mechina boys. Hand-painted signs of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch, a carnival with games tied to teachings of the Baal Shem Tov and Alter Rebbe, and a beautiful seuda, made for an unforgettable experience.

Chai Elul at Cheder Levi Yitzchok was nothing short of unforgettable, thanks to the creativity and dedication of the Mechinah boys. Upon the children’s arrival at school in the morning, they were greeted by enormous hand-painted signs of the Tanya and Shulchan Aruch — setting the tone for the day.

There was an evening program with a vibrant carnival bursting with creativity. Each activity tied to the themes of Chai Elul, the Baal Shem Tov and the Alter Rebbe. Examples include digging through sand to uncover a hidden key that unlocked handcuffs, and peaking through balloons to decode messages from Tanya.

Afterwards, the boys participated in a lavish seudah prepared entirely by the Mechinah boys. They cooked a delicious feast and arranged the hall beautifully, creating a setting that was festive, elegant, and uplifting.

The bochrim set out to create an immersive Chai Elul experience — one that every child could feel and live – and that is exactly what they achieved!
