‘Making Gaza Jewish and Great Again’

The Crown Heights Women for the Safety and Integrity of Israel launched their new online series, The Architecture of True Peace, this Tuesday, exploring practical blueprints for Jewish redevelopment in Gaza to ensure lasting security through a renewed Jewish presence.

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Crown Heights Women for the Safety and Integrity of Israel hosted the first of its online events for Israel entitled The Architecture of True Peace.

Scheduled to coincide with the lunchbreak hour at 12:30pm EST and in the early evening in Israel at 7:30pm on Tuesdays during December, we aim to help buck the trend of passively accepting another round of inherently flawed and failed “peace” plans for Gaza.

Our platform and guest speakers’ architectronics align with the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s common-sense, Torah-based approach that true peace is the outcome of security and settlement: the best defense is presence!

Moshe Farjun, an engineer, is the head of Farjun Development and Planning. Together with Maman Architects the two joined forces to draft a blueprint for Gaza’s Jewish redevelopment, recognizing early on that Israeli leaders lacked any vision for the Big Day After.

The Way of the Sea – The Path to Victory, Farjun and Maman’s masterplan has been wholeheartedly embraced by the Gush Katif Forum whose advocates are working tirelessly to advocate for it in the Knesset as are Nachala’s lobbyists for their equally impressive plan.

We began by asking Moshe, who was assisted by English speaker Gilad Libman, to talk about his introductory mission statement highlighting Gaza’s historical and spiritual connection to the Jewish People.

Moshe explained that the connection is often left out or forgotten in the face of powerful business and political interests competing for Gaza.  That’s in part because Gerar, it’s Biblical name, is not commonly known or associated with Gaza.  Yet, Avraham and Yitzchak’s sojourn there are significant passages in the Torah; in particular we read that Yitzchak dug many wells in Gerar but the locals repeatedly plugged them, jealous of his good fortune.  Still, Gilad pointed out, Yitzchak tenaciously went back again and again to re-dig them – a lesson for today about not giving up on rebuilding the Jewish community in Gaza!

Before going on to talk about the details of Moshe’s plan, we segued into a discussion with Yotam Eyal, CEO of the Legal Forum, to better understand if the Disengagement Law passed in 2004 that legitimized expelling the Jewish community from Gaza poses an obstacle to re-establishing the Jewish presence there.

As many recall, four communities in northern Samaria were inexplicably added into the Disengagement Law; the nefarious hidden intention to later on serve as a pretext for likewise shutting down and permanently expelling Jews from Judea and Samaria.  Fortunately, last year, this injustice was  finally amended allowing for the renewal of the Jewish presence there once again.

The same, says Yotam, can and must happen with Gaza.  Knesset Members, we’re calling on you to step up and get the ball rolling with your 61 count majority votes!  Your obligation rests on the Mitzvah of Pikuach Nefesh to save and protect Jewish lives. The best DEFENCE is PRESENCE!

Moreover, as Yotam correctly intuits, it’s time to go from surviving one crisis after another to instead thriving in Gaza.

We went on to discuss more of the details in Moshe’s plan including financing and investments.  The political and diplomatic echelon in Israel must make it abundantly clear that Gaza is sovereign Israeli territory; the unilateral assumption by President Trump and his lineup of foreign and business associates is endangering Israel’s security and adding to the increase in global anti-Semitism.

The State of Israel must assume financial responsibility for the redevelopment of Gaza while at the same time invite investors to join in because the cost alone clearing away accumulated the ruins of war, unexploded ordnance and stabilizing the ground impacted by Hamas’ vast, winding tunnels is huge!

By employing the sound method, realistic timeframe and chain of command delineated in Farjun’s blueprint assure efficiency, flexibility and progress.

Moshe also looked at the workforce needed to rebuild Gaza.  Arabs from Judea and Samaria – who often worked in construction are barred from entering Gaza.  Importing workers from India and China is an option but we say why not open up the field of construction and other blue-collar jobs and training to Jews too!

The Way of the Sea – The Path to Victory introduces a fascinating mix of technologies and natural elements to rebuild and power Gaza.  Most interesting is the innovative use of capturing floating wave energy from sea currents to power energy stations.

Making Gaza Jewish and Great has arrived!
