The Jewish communities of Los Angeles joined together for a grand Simchas Beis Hashoeva on La Brea Ave. on Sunday night, the first night of Chol Hamoed.
The celebration was arranged by the Raichik family in memory of Harav Shimon Raichik, who served as the beloved rov of anash in Los Angeles for decades.
The street in front of Congregation Levi Yitzchok on La Brea Avenue was closed for the event, and a number of local shuls joined together to sponsor the event.
Leading the joyous dancing and celebration were singers Bentzi Marcus and Moshe Storch, and hundreds joined together to dance “until the street itself danced!”
