London Streets Lit Up with the Light of Chanukah

On Motzaei Shabbos, the seventh night of Chanukah, people and cars on the streets of London were pleasantly greeted by the sight of a grand car menorah parade proudly making its way through the busy streets of the London suburbs, accompanied by lively Chanukah music echoing from the loudspeakers.
The parade met up outside Yeshiva Gedola, then proceeded through Hampstead Garden Suburb, continued on to Finchley, and ended in Golders Green.
“It was amazing to see the positive feedback from the passersby on the streets!” R’ Yechiel Wilhelm, a member of anash in Golders Green and gabai in Heichal Menachem, commented.
R’ Shlomo Fuchs, a local shliach, said, “The Menorah Car Parade was exciting to see. I was impressed and surprised by the number of cars and people participating. Many cars were full of people of all ages and backgrounds, joyously celebrating Chanukah!”
The parade was organized by Yeshiva Shluchim, Zalmy Wagner and Mendel Kievman, Gershon Jacobson and Mendel Lubin, together with Avrohom Weisz, a community activist, who has been arranging the menorah parade for the past 38 years, with help from Finchley shliach, Rabbi Mechel Gancz.
