As snow blanketed the ground, Camp L’man Achai, in conjunction with Camp F.R.E.E., welcomed a large group of eager boys for an unforgettable seven-day winter camp, packed with exhilarating trips and meaningful learning.

Campers arrived Wednesday afternoon and quickly settled in, kicking off the program with warm welcome speeches and a creative icebreaker game of “Steal the Winter Hat.”

Thursday was the highlight of the week, with an early wake-up at 6:30 AM, which led to a full day of skiing. The day ended with a warm dinner and a special Hey Teves farbrengen, where the boys learned about the Rebbe’s connection to the day, gathered around a cozy fireplace.

The week concluded with a heartwarming banquet. Every camper shared his highlight of the week and a small hachlata, ranging from saying Shema nightly to wearing tzitzis or learning Chitas.

Camp L’man Achai’s Winter Camp wasn’t just a break from school. It was a week of growth, Jewish pride, and memories that will carry these boys into the rest of the year—and into an incredible summer ahead.

Friday featured a camp-wide challah bake. After a short bowling outing, the boys returned to prepare for an inspiring Shabbos, joined by Camp L’man Achai’s director, Rabbi Yitzchok Steinmetz. From heartfelt singing at the Shabbos meals to uplifting farbrengens, the energy was palpable.

Motzei Shabbos brought snow-filled fun: igloo-building, hide-and-seek in the snow, and a “Top-Down Fredo” activity. The boys went to bed tired and happy.

On Sunday, the boys enjoyed tubing at Hunter Mountain, as well as Night activities like capture the flag, which kept the excitement going.

The next day’s adventure was ice skating, again a first for many campers. The day was rounded out with learning and bonding activities.

On the final day, the campers headed to a bounce facility that also featured laser tag, rollerblading, mini golf, and more. The amazing week came to an end with boys writing personal letters to the Rebbe, taking on personal Hachlatos.
