A historic Chanukah celebration is currently taking place at the iconic Brandenburg Gate, featuring a grand lighting ceremony attended by high-ranking German officials and international diplomats.

The event is being led by the Chief Rabbi of Berlin and Shliach, Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal. Joining him are the President of the German Parliament (Bundestag), along with dozens of government ministers and ambassadors from around the world. The program also features special artistic performances.

In light of the recent tragic massacre in Sydney, authorities have enforced heavy police security around the event to ensure the safety of all participants.
