Largest Mobile Menorah Travels 3,000 Miles to Spread Light

With a 38-foot mitzvah tank and the world’s largest mobile menorah, 15 bochurim from Yeshivas Chayolei Beis David set out from the snowy Pocono Mountains on a 3,000-mile journey to bring the light of Chanukah to Jews across the American Midwest.

It was an early Sunday morning, two weeks ago, when 15 bochurim from Yeshivas Chayolei Beis David set out from the snowy Pocono Mountains in Northeast Pennsylvania on an ambitious mission.

Their goal: to bring the light of Chanukah – and the Rebbe’s message – to Jews across the American Midwest.

Inspired by the Rebbe’s refrain, “A little bit of light pushes away a lot of darkness,” the group embarked on a journey spanning over 3,000 miles, determined to reach every neshama, no matter how hidden, and to illuminate communities with the joy and light of Chanukah.

The bochurim traveled with a 38-foot mitzvah tank and the world’s largest mobile menorah, drawing attention from cars and passersby wherever they went.

Their journey took them to iconic locations such as Chicago, where the city’s skyline was lit up with Chanukah light, and continued to St. Louis, MO; Columbus, OH; Springfield, IL; and many smaller towns along the way.

Everywhere they went, the bochurim were greeted with excitement, as Jewish families came out to receive menorah kits to light their own menorah at home.

To help support the cost of bringing this inspiring initiative to the Midwest, donations are still being accepted here.
