The largest yeshiva in Europe, Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch, located in Brunoy, a suburb of Paris, started the new zman with a record-breaking 370 students from all over the world.
The incoming students for shiur alef were greeted by Rabbi Shmuel Brodovitch, the head of the first-year division in the Mesivta. Rabbi Yoel Eidelman, head of the division for shiur beis and gimmel, welcomed those groups. This year, around 70 new students from across the globe joined the Yeshiva Gedola, under the leadership of Rabbi Zalman Segal and the general director, Rabbi Itche Nemenov.
The yeshiva boasts some of the finest maggidei shiur and mashpiim, and the high demand to get in speaks volumes about its reputation.
A special privilege is granted to the third-year students in the Yeshiva Gedola, as they now have the opportunity to participate in advanced classes given by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yechiel Kalmenson, whose deep and insightful lessons are renowned throughout the Torah world.
Rabbi Mendel Gorowitz, the yeshiva’s administrator, points out that the yeshiva is in the midst of significant expansion and development. With G-d’s help, new classrooms and even a new mikvah will be built this year to accommodate the yeshiva’s growing needs.
