Kingston Celebrated Nightly Simchas Beis Hashoeiva

During Chol Hamoed Sukkos, nearly 500 men, women, and children gathered in Kingston, PA, for unforgettable Simchas Beis HaShoeiva events, bringing the Rebbe’s call for dancing and joy into the streets with heart and soul.

During Chol Hamoed Sukkos, nearly 500 men, women, and children—from infants to teens—gathered in Kingston, PA, for unforgettable Simchas Beis HaShoeiva events, bringing the Rebbe’s call for dancing and joy into the streets with heart and soul.

The celebration kicked off with energy and excitement shortly after Yomtov, setting the tone for nights filled with music, unity, and palpable simcha. Live music was provided by R’ Dovid Altein, whose uplifting tunes energized the crowd, while young and enthralling chazzan-singer R’ Nachi Forster moved participants with his beautiful voice. The atmosphere was further elevated by the sweet and soulful sounds of Moshe Cohen on the flute.

The community came out every night with vigor and joy—men, women, and children alike—filling the streets with laughter, song, and celebration. Even in the light rain, the dancing never stopped, as hearts were warm and spirits high. On Motzei Shabbos, the music once again soared, led by R’ Dovid Altein and guest singer Shmuly, creating an electrifying atmosphere that lit up the night.

Throughout each evening, everyone gave it their all—dancing with passion and unity. The crowd moved as one to each uplifting niggun. With every step and every song, the simcha only grew, filling the streets with the unmistakable spirit of Sukkos. Special thanks go to the Hershkop family for their ongoing dedication and involvement in making the event a success. One guest from out of town summed it up best: “I really felt the community.”

The celebration concluded with the heartfelt recitation of the 12 Pesukim, led by Rabbi Pinny Levitin, as children and adults joined together in a powerful moment of unity and inspiration.

A special thank you goes to Chaverim of NEPA, led by Zalmen Lison, with members Ahron Shakh, Shloimo Zirkind, and Mendel Goldstein, for ensuring the safety and smooth coordination of each evening.

The Simchas Beis HaShoeiva Logistics Committee – Mendel Konikov and Zushe Wilmowsky – worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. They cleared and prepared the grounds, coordinated closely with the Kingston Police Department, made sure lost items were returned, and oversaw the technical flow of the music each night.

This event was generously sponsored by BSD Software, whose corporate support helped bring the celebration to life.

From dancing circles of fathers, sons, classmates, and friends to music, singing, and Torah, Kingston’s Simchas Beis HaShoeiva was a true celebration of Jewish joy and community spirit. May the simcha carry us through the year and bring us right into the Geulah!
