In a bizarre development, a prominent British Islamic sheikh has accused the Israeli Prime Minister and Argentina’s President of subscribing to the “messianic worldview” of the Rebbe.

In a bizarre development, a British Islamic sheikh has accused Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, alongside Argentina’s President Javier Milei, of subscribing to the “messianic worldview” of the Rebbe, YWN reported. This accusation came amid a tirade against Israel, in which the sheikh even expressed support for future bombings of Israeli cities.

The remarks were made during a livestream on Sheikh Asrar Rashid’s official YouTube channel. In it, he launched into a conspiratorial rant, claiming that British-manufactured weapons are being used not simply to protect Israeli security, but to fulfill a so-called messianic vision of a “super Jewish state” stretching from the Euphrates to the Nile.

“You, in your policies, are supporting Jewish supremacism through Western weapons,” Rashid said. “Weapons made by the RAF, by British arms, are utilized not to contain Muslims – but to build Jewish supremacy, following the teachings of the Talmud.”

He then claimed that both Netanyahu and Milei follow the worldview of the Rebbe, alleging they believe in an “apocalyptic and messianic vision” that involves launching “a major war in the region to exterminate Israel’s enemies and establish a super Jewish State from the Euphrates to the Nile.”

Rashid went as far as to openly call for the bombing of Tel Aviv by any Muslim nation, saying: “We are all behind you.”

Of course, these accusations are nothing but dangerous conspiracy theories and complete distortions of the Rebbe’s clear, principled views regarding Shleimus Haaretz. Still, it’s both bizarre and fascinating how even individuals from far outside the Jewish world recognize the Rebbe’s profound influence on Netanyahu, Milei, and world events. 

In their twisted way, they’re acknowledging a truth we know well: that the Rebbe’s voice is shaping the world more and more. Indeed, this is yet another sign of the incredible times we are living in, standing on the threshold of Geulah. 

And yes, to every lie there is often a sliver of truth. When leaders follow the Rebbe’s unwavering directives – without fear of foreign pressure – it is the clearest, most effective way to protect Eretz Yisroel and its people. This paves the way for the ultimate vision of an expanded Eretz Yisroel in the times of Moshiach, when “no sword shall pass through the land,” and “the Jewish people will dwell securely and peacefully” — a true Messianic vision.
