On erev Pesach, Rabbi Menachem Ofen, the Rebbe’s shliach to the IDF and security forces, together with military rabbi Rabbi Yehuda Machpud, met with Israel’s Minister of Defense, Yisrael Katz.

During the meeting, they presented the minister with hand-baked shmurah matzah in honor of the upcoming Yom Tov.

Rabbi Ofen also briefed the minister on the large-scale Mivtza Matzah campaign throughout the IDF and across Israel’s security forces, ensuring that Jewish soldiers and personnel have access to matzah for Pesach.

He concluded by conveying the Rebbe’s bracha for a kosher and joyous Yom Tov to the minister and to all those serving in defense of the Jewish people.
