This past Motzei Shabbos, the Yud Tes Kislev farbrengen hosted by Ateres Chaya Mushka brought together students for a night filled with joy, inspiration, and commitment. Held in the warm and welcoming Rubashkin home, the event created the perfect setting for a deeply chassidishe experience.
The beautifully adorned tables, arranged with care and thought, featured fresh fruit, sushi, kasha, and treats, inviting the girls to sit wherever they felt comfortable. Laughter, whispers, and chatting filled the room as friendships blossomed naturally, creating a seamless interweaving of grades and a palpable sense of family.
Under the leadership of Leah Levine, principal of Ateres Chaya Mushka, the evening reflected the nurturing warmth and devotion to the Rebbe’s teachings that she embodies. This was evident as the girls sang the Seder Hanigunim, their voices blending harmoniously, filled with sincerity and joy. The pride in their Chassidishkeit was unmistakable—pure, unfiltered, and deeply inspiring.
The program brimmed with excitement. A thoughtfully prepared game brought smiles and laughter, while a raffle for a new sefer to add to their chassidishe library added an extra layer of enthusiasm. Girls eagerly chatted about the prize and their chances, further enhancing the vibrant atmosphere.
A standout moment of the evening came when two students played the niggun “Pada B’shalom” on the keyboard. The room filled with multipart singing as every girl raised her voice, joining together in a melody that connected generations of Chassidim.
The farbrengen concluded with each girl reflecting on her experience and writing a personal hachlata. This final moment emphasized that the evening was not just about joy but also about commitment. Each participant left with a tangible resolution to bring the energy and inspiration of Yud Tes Kislev into her everyday life.
The Yud Tes Kislev farbrengen was a night where every girl shone brightly, embodying the spirit of a lamplighter in a world yearning for light.
