Hesha Turner, a long-time resident of Chicago, Illinois, and more recently of Crown Heights, passed away on Thursday, 11 Shvat, 5782.
She was 92 years old.
Hesha would spend hours each day saying Tehillim for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and for many others. She was also actively involved with the Nshei Chabad of Chicago, and served as the treasurer for many years. Hesha, together with her husband Shabsi, supported many Chabad mosdos in Chicago, as well as various campaigns that the Rebbe launched over the years.
She was also known for her extraordinary hachnosas orchim. Family members remember her as a true akeres habayis and aishes chayil.
She is survived by her husband, Shabsi Chaim Turner, and her children Michal Lesches, Itchie Turner, and Miriam Krinsky, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Yaakov Reuven Turner.
The levaya will be taking place tomorrow Friday, 12th of Shevat at 10 AM from Shomrei Hadas, and passing 770 around 11 AM, and will continue on to the Old Montefiore Cemetery.
The family will be sitting shiva in Crown Heights at 1245 Carroll St.
