Yevgenia, a Jewish woman in Chicago, sadly passed away with no relatives or funds for a Jewish burial. Rabbi Levi Notik of FREE appeals to Anash to participate in getting her a kevuras Yisroel.
In a message to the Anash community, Rabb Levi Notik, Director of FREE in Chicago, wrote:
This morning, Yevgenia left this world. She has no blood relatives to mourn her, and no funds to provide her with the dignity of a proper Jewish burial.
We are turning to you to help fulfill the great mitzvah of Kevuras Yisroel, ensuring a Jewish burial.
This act of kindness, given without the possibility of repayment, is among the highest forms of Chesed Shel Emes.
