In just three short weeks, a brave young Ba’alas Teshuvah will stand under her chuppah — but she is preparing for this life-changing moment with no family support and no means to set up even the simplest home. She has chosen a life of Torah with courage and sacrifice, but now, at the moment when every kallah deserves dignity and joy, she finds herself alone. The basics that every new couple needs — a bed, linens, kitchen items, clothing — are simply beyond reach. The situation is real, urgent, and time is running out.

Chazal teach us “Kol Yisrael areivim zeh bazeh” — we are responsible for one another. And the Rambam writes that helping a poor bride establish her home is among the highest forms of tzedakah, because it restores dignity at the most vulnerable moment. This is that moment. Today, we have the opportunity to lift up a kallah who has no one else to turn to, and to ensure she walks to her chuppah with peace, confidence, and joy rather than fear and embarrassment.
