As the month of Yomim Tovim conclude and the ‘wedding season’ arrives, filling Crown Heights with one simcha after the next, Anash.org is once again offering a special gift for families celebrating an engagement.

The dreadful few months as the COVID-19 pandemic struck Crown Heights in its full intensity brought an abrupt halt to the normal sights and scenes of one simcha after another being celebrated in the community’s streets and houses.
As the first wave of the virus subsided, and the community was once again filled with simchos, Anash.org had a special offer for all those celebrating an engagement: Any L’chaim galleries taken by an Anash.org photographer were given to the celebrating family, free of charge.
Since then, a lot of water has passed under the bridge. The summer came and went, followed by a Tishrei unlike any Crown Heights had ever seen. The second wave and the newly imposed shutdowns by the Mayor and Governor reminded us of those days of fright and gloom.
But now we know that Crown Heights will never stop celebrating. We may have to wear masks, make L’chaims and wedding outdoors, the crowds may have to be a fraction of what it would have been a year ago, part of the family may still have to join by Zoom, but we will continue to celebrate a Yiddishe simcha in whatever manner possible.
