Police are looking for the person who shattered the windows of Bais Rivka School on Friday night.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. Friday evening. When someone smashed two ground-level windows at the Girls School, located on the corner of Lefferts Ave and Brooklyn Ave.
Governor Andrew Cuomo directed the State Police Hate Crimes Task Force to assist in the investigation of vandalizing of Bais Rivkah School in Crown Heights.
In a statement the governor wrote “On Friday night, an armed person vandalized the Bais Rivkah School in Crown Heights.
“I am disgusted by this latest blatant act of anti-Semitism, and it is made worse by the fact that it was directed at a school where our youngest New Yorkers go to learn and where parents expect their children to be safe.
“I am directing the State Police Hate Crime Task Force to assist local law enforcement in investigating this crime. We will find the responsible party and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
“New York will never tolerate discrimination and we will continue to stamp out hate whenever and wherever it rears its ugly head.”
