With the start of the new school year, HaMesivta Yeshiva of Crown Heights has launched a groundbreaking new app that puts everything you need for learning and davening – complete with audio to follow along – right at your fingertips.
As reported on Anash.org, HaMesivta relocated to Crown Heights this year, opening its doors to the community and offering bochurim the opportunity to thrive in small classes, shorter days, and a warm, supportive environment.
The new app features the full texts of the tefillos, Birchas HaMazon, and Krias Shema, all with matching audio so users can listen and follow along as they daven. It also includes the daily shiurim of Chitas, Rambam, as well as, Likkutei Sichos, Mishnayos, Gemara, Nach, and much more, such as Megillas Esther, Krias HaTorah, Shnayim Mikra, and the Bar Mitzvah Maamar – all with synced audio.
“There’s no longer a need to juggle seforim or search for recordings,” said Rabbi Moshe Lieblich, director of the yeshiva. “The app is simple, clear, and easy to use – perfect for teachers in the classroom and students at home.”
The app is available for download here.
For those interested in registering their children in the few remaining spots, click here, call Rabbi Lieblich at 347-234-8928, or email [email protected].
Post much better Jewish portraits of the Rambam with full payos to portray with peulos as opposed to the goyishe ones that depict him with no payos (rachmana litzlan – like the round luchos and menorah) that creeped into our midst some how.
This is a great application, thank you for making !
I am however wondering how this ties into Yeshivah boys specifically ? They don’t have Physical sforim?
I believe this is the picture used and approved by the rebbe when advertising the Siyum Harambam.
Is that true?
This Yeshiva is all about helping boys (and future anash) connect with what their doing, using new tools to make Yidishkeit more enjoyable and personal, rather then the cookie cutter/ one size fits all model in other yeshivas that only follow black and white texts from the books. This can be challenging, boring, frustrating for some boys. This approach instead, for people that are ready to open their minds and open their hearts to their own children (instead of forcing on them a system that may have only worked for you or generations in the past) focuses on learning and doing do mitzvos out of love, grace, excitement, and understanding, utilizing technology and out of the box ideas to make it more accessible, smooth and enjoyable.
