Hachana Program Prepared Bochurim to Meet the Rebbe

Before entering the Ohel, Rabbi Leibel Schapiro, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Gedolah of Miami, spoke to the bochurim about the significance of going to the Rebbe and the hachana which allows a Bochur to enter with greater focus, sincerity, and connection.

On Yud Shevat morning, hundreds of Bochurim took part in a dedicated Hachana program organized by the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim, providing a meaningful and focused preparation before entering the Ohel.

The program was held in a specially arranged, heated tent for Bochurim, with refreshments available and a calm, organized atmosphere, and with the program running in two full shifts to accommodate the large number of participants. The space offered Bochurim the opportunity to sit, reflect, and prepare properly for the moment of entering the Rebbe’s Ohel.

The Hachana program featured a full schedule of video presentations of the Rebbe, alongside words of inspiration delivered by Rabbi Leibel Schapiro, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Gedolah of Miami.

Among the videos shown was the Rebbe’s first sicha of Yud Shevat 5711, in which the Rebbe spoke about hiskashrus and explained that out of ahavas Yisroel, the Rebbe chooses to remain here with Chassidim, even after histalkus, to continue guiding and strengthening them.

Bochurim also viewed the Rebbe’s first maamar, which included stories highlighting the profound Ahavas Yisroel of the Rabbeim.

Rabbi Schapiro spoke about the central importance of proper preparation before going to the Ohel, emphasizing that hachana allows a Bochur to enter with greater focus, sincerity, and connection. He shared a well-known story in which the Rebbe said that he goes to his Rebbe at the Ohel, underscoring the meaning of hiskashrus and the living connection that continues through the Ohel.

Rabbi Schapiro encouraged Bochurim to take practical hachlatos, translating inspiration into concrete steps in their learning, davening, and avodas Hashem.

After the program, Bochurim made use of the quiet and supportive setting to sit and write a PA”N.

The Hachana program served as a meaningful start to Yud Shevat for Bochurim, setting the tone for a day centered on hiskashrus.
