Every year, tens of educators from the schools and yeshivos in the Moscow area gather for the annual Moscow Kinus Hamechanchim, spending a number of days together farbrenging and hearing from veteran mechanchim, rabbonim and mashpi’im.
This year as well, despite the lingering effects of the coronavirus, over 30 educators from all educational institutions in Moscow, gathered at the grand Jewish center in the luxurious suburb of Zhukovka. for two full days of lectures and educational discussions.
The theme of this year’s conference was ‘the personal experience of each student’, and the various instructors focused on that topic during the courses they delivered.
Two guests from Eretz Yisroel honored the Kinus with their presence. Veteran educator Rabbi Chaim Katz was flown in specially for the conference, and Rabb Chaim Sholom Deitch, Rosh Kollel of the Tzemach Tzedek Kollel, in town for a simcha, also addressed the educators.
The shluchim said that the highlight of the Kinus was a joint session addressed by Rabbi Deitch together with Russia’s Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar. The two also joined the mechanchim’s group picture, followed by a joint farbrengen.
The Kinus was initiated by the director of the institutions R’ Yossi Lipsker, and was organized by the director of Cheder Menachem, R’ Avremi Gvirtz, with the assistance of the other mosdos chinuch in the city.
