A moving Siyum Sefer Torah was held in Greensboro, North Carolina, in memory of Shneur Plotkin, the two-year-old child of Rabbi Yosef and Hindy Plotkin, shluchim in Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away last year.
The event, marking the first yahrzeit, 28 Sivan, drew a large crowd of friends, family, and fellow Shluchim. Shluchim within a 100-mile radius attended the event, along with class friends of Rabbi Yosef Plotkin from Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim of Montreal.
In his heartfelt remarks, Rabbi Plotkin shared: “We are celebrating and dedicating the Shneur Community Torah, born of challenge, sustained by community, and inspired by a little boy whose neshama was pure, powerful, and connected to Hashem. May this Torah bring merit to Shneur’s soul and bless our community with strength and unity.”
