Elected officials from New York State joined the annual Sukkos celebration hosted in Crown Heights by activist Rabbi Chanina Sperlin on Tuesday night.
The gathering was joined Governor of New York State Kathy Hochul, Attorney General Tish James, New York City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, and District Attorney Eric Gonzalez.
Other guests were Council Member Chi Ossé, who represents parts of Crown Heights, NYPD Inspector Richie Taylor, current and former state senators and assemblyman, councilmen, and many others.
The annual event is held at the sukka of veteran activist Rabbi Chanina Sperlin where politicians meet and greet with a number of community activists and locals.
After a few words by Governor Hochul, Rabbi Sperlin made a l’chaim with the governor thanking her for her longstanding friendship with the Jewish community.
