Golders Green Double Simcha

By Anash.org Reporter

A large crowd attended a special event in Heichal Menachem Shul in Golders Green London, a double simcha: celebrating the Chag Hageulah of Yud Beis Tammuz and a Siyum on Maseches Brochos.

The hachlotoh to begin the weekly gemoroh shiur in the Shul was at a Farbrengen on Yud Shevat 5775. B’hashgacha Pratis, the siyum coincided with Yud Beis Tammuz, two dates connected to the Frierdiker Rebbe.

The event was graced with the presence of the Mara D’asra of Anash in NW London, Rav Yitzchok Meir Hertz, who gave divrei brocho and wished great success to the Shul and everyone who davens there.

Rav Gedalia Lieberman, rov of Heichel Menachem, was honored with making the Siyum. The Rov, who is also the maggid shiur, taught the last few lines of the masechta, and as he would do at the shiur connected it to the Alter Rebbe’s Shulchan Aruch, to practical halacha.

A delicious meal was then served, a seudas mitzvah befitting for the occasion.

Rav Leibish Heller, maggid shiur at the Yeshiva Gedolah of London, gave the keynote address. In his unique way Rabbi Heller explained the significance of making a siyum and how it fits perfectly with the mesiras nefesh taught to us by the ba’al hegulah, the Frierdiker Rebbe.

Rabbi Faivish Vogel was honored with bentching. After Maariv many stayed for a farbrengen, where they were addressed by Rabbi Lieberman, Rabbi Yossi Baitz, Shliach in Kentish Town, and guest Rabbi Moshe Edrei of Kfar Chabad, among others.

The event was a truly inspiring occasion and set the momentum for continuing to increase the shiurim in the Shul. An announcement was made that the next masechta to be started will Be”h be Masechta Shabbos.

Musical entertainment was provided by the boys of Year 6 in Lubavitch Boys School.
