Global Rosh Kolel Now Heads One at Home

Rabbi Chaim Hillel Raskin, who heads the global Kolel Rabbonei Chabad, has now opened a local Kolel for yungeleit in the historic Tzemach Tzedek shul of Petach Tikvah where he serves as the rov.

On the first day of Rosh Chodesh Elul, the “Beis Midrash LeHora’ah” of the Chabad community in Petach Tikvah was officially opened. The yungeleit arrived with great excitement and joy for the start of the new academic year, focusing on hilchos Tahara.

The Rosh Kolel, Rabbi Chaim Hillel Raskin, recalled the Rebbe’s profound love for yungeleit who engage in Torah study, quoting the Rebbe’s words that this is his deepest desire. The yungeleit approached their studies with great enthusiasm on the first day, driven by a sense of mission and a desire to delve deeply into learning.

Rabbi Raskin had the privilege of learning for many years under the head of the distinguished Rechovot Kolel, Rabbi Meir Aharon AH. The new kolel was established in the spirit of Rabbi Aharon’s guidance, aiming to continue and expand Torah and halacha study within the Anash community.

Located in the historic Chabad shul of Petach Tikvah, Tzemach Tzedek, the kolel’s unique location adds a touch of history and sanctity to the studies, making it a significant spiritual center in the community.

The kolel attracts yungeleit from across the center of Eretz Yisroel, seeking to deepen their Torah learning and be part of the long-standing Chabad community in Petach Tikvah.

“The opening of the yeshiva on Rosh Chodesh Elul is not just a new beginning for learning but also an important milestone for the community,” said one yungerman. “It is a moment of strengthening and renewal, an opportunity to connect with our values and build a vibrant Torah community.”
