After being verbally attacked near the Chabad House in Dusseldorf, Germany, Shliach Rabbi Chaim Barkan says that he is fearful for his life.
“For the first time, I do not feel safe in my makom hashlichus,” said Rabbi Barkan.
The day after the attack, he filed a complaint with local police.
Yet, despite the attempts to threaten and intimidate them, community members have declared that they will continue to display Jewish symbols in public.
