The Gaaguim project—dedicated to preserving and sharing authentic Chabad niggunim—directed by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Amar, presents a stirring niggun from Nikolayev, from Niggun 294 in Sefer HaNiggunim.

Project Gaaguim – Chabad Niggunim is a collection of niggunim sung in authentic style by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Amar, rav of Merkaz Or Menachem in Ashdod. The vocals are performed by Rabbi Amar, with arrangements by Rabbi Oved Munis, violin and musical production by Rabbi Mordechai Brotzky, and consultation and guidance from Rabbi Chaim Weiss.

In a sicha delivered on Purim 5720 (1960), the Rebbe said:

“There is here a niggun that chassidim sang out of achdus, and it has the power to open and straighten the crookedness in the heart – so that it will be easier in understanding and comprehension for all those who are found within the daled amos of Torah; and it will be easier in the service of tefilla for all those who are found within the daled amos of tefilla; and it will be easier in the avoda of ‘b’chol derachecha da’eihu’ in general, and in the avoda of businessmen in particular – that when they walk in the street, they will fulfill the mission of the Creator of the world and its Conductor.”
