In a farbrengen from 2 Kislev 5714, the Rebbe explained the significance of joyous dancing: “The order of joy and dancing is that, while dancing, a person lifts his foot above the ground—meaning he rises above worldly and material matters—and then, measure for measure, he is raised from Above, from materiality to spirituality, to true spirituality, in a manner of ‘progressively increasing light until the day is established.’”
Project “Gaaguim” – Chabad Nigunim is a collection of nigunim sung in authentic style by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Amar, rav of Merkaz “Or Menachem” in Ashdod. The vocals are performed by Rabbi Amar, with arrangements by Rabbi Oved Munis, violin and musical production by Rabbi Mordechai Brotzky, and consultation and guidance from Rabbi Chaim Weiss.
