In the wake of the passing of R’ Shimon Horowitz AH, a beloved melamed in Eretz Yisroel and New York, a fund has been launched by family and friends to help cover the debts that were incurred over the course of his prolonged illness.

R’ Shimon was a longtime resident of Crown Heights who dedicated many years as a melamed in both Eretz Yisroel and New York, and later worked as an accountant. He was known as a learned and humble Yid with a great sense of humor and a kind heart.

In the wake of his passing, friends of the family made this fund to help with the financial stress from all the medical bills and treatments. Now more than ever, the family needs our financial support covering expenses of the kvurah, debts that were incurred over the course of R’ Shimon’s prolonged illness, and help getting back on their feet.
