In light of recent events, many Shluchim have been looking for a practical way to strengthen the support they provide one another, and membership in ‘The Shluchim Group’, a project of the Shluchim Office, has seen renewed growth.

The Shluchim Group is a charitable, membership-based emergency fund for Shluchim. If a passing ר״ל occurs within the membership, the group is activated, and each member contributes a one-time donation of $72 (or more, if they selected that option), allowing immediate and dignified financial relief to reach the family.

In recent weeks, membership has grown to over 560 members, including 44 new members in the past two weeks.

“The Shluchim Group is a simple framework of achdus, created by Shluchim for Shluchim,” said Rabbi Mendy Shemtov. “We hope we never need it, but when chas v’shalom something happens, it makes a real difference right away.”

Membership is for families of Shluchim. At the same time, friends, family, and supporters can participate by contributing as donors to strengthen the fund and help ensure this support is available when it is needed.
