The two main frumme newspapers in Eretz Yisroel paid tribute to the Siyum Harambam this week with full booklet supplements. A third newspaper published an ad about the Siyum, raising a firestorm.

As thousands around the world finished the 39th cycle of daily Rambam study, the two main frumme newspapers in Eretz Yisroel paid tribute to the Siyum full booklet supplements.
The Hamodia and Hamevaser newspapers independently published full booklets, reserved for momentous or historic events, on the occasion of the Siyum Harambam this week.
A third newspaper, which is generally known for its anti-Chabad stance, while not acknowledging the siyum themselves, surprisingly allowed an advertiser to publish a full spread ad about the new cycle of Rambam study, and a program rewarding those who join.
Many expressed their joy when seeing the ad, showing that the winds of machlokes that were so prominent in the not-so-distant past have almost totally blown over. Certain other individuals, however, who feel it their life mission to continue their machlokes, expressed their ‘deep disappointment and shock.’
