Imagine a world where you could make it to every Chassidus Shiur that you wished to attend. Imagine there were no logistical challenges by Lubavitch’s best mashpiim being spread throughout the globe. Imagine there were no obstacles in between you and tens of thousands of hours of Chassidus shiurim.
Chassidim everywhere throughout the ages have prioritized their time spent learning chassidus. It is the life force of their neshama and the fire behind their avodas Hashem. For hours on end, Chassidim have huddled around mashpiim to hear their unique explanations and interpretations of Chassidus.
In 5744, as the Rebbe encouraged Hafatzas Hamayanos, Heichel Menachem began organizing local Chassidus shiurim. However, not everyone could attend in person, so to reach a larger audience, they initiated the famous “Chassidus on the Telephone” program to make the shiurim accessible to all. Reb Yoel Kahan dedicated hundreds of hours to recording his shiurim specifically for this initiative, ensuring that more people in the US and around the world could benefit from the shiurim.
As the past decade has seen the entire world enter into the digital age, the obvious progression of this famous phone line was to create an online platform that people looking to learn Chassidus would be able to visit and listen to a shiur on their subject of choice. Heichel Menachem set to work creating a platform that would consolidate the shiurim of 150 mashpiim as well as 40 years of Reb Yoel’s shiurim.
Thus, the CHASSIDUS APP and website were created and they began the tremendous project of organizing and filing thousands of shiurim. The numbers quickly began to rise and as of today there are over 30,000 shiurim presented by 150 mashpiim!
The platform is incredibly user-friendly and contains both a website and an app so that it is accessible via a smartphone or a computer. Users can track their progress and even download shiurim to listen to at a later opportunity. And the most exciting part? Thanks to generous funding provided by donors who are passionate about hafatzas hamaayanos, the site/app is absolutely free and available to bochurim and anash who wish to spend time immersed in the study of Chassidus.
