In the preschool, the children gathered for a Farbrengen with Limmudei Kodesh principal Mrs. Groner. They said lechaim, sung niggunim, and received special candles as they learnt about the two lights the Alter Rebbe brought into the world.
Over in South Monsey, another kind of celebration was occurring. Some classes made special Chai Elul crowns, with the highlight of the day being a life-sized human game of CandyLand- as the girls explored the meaning of this special day.
The Boys School was Farbrenged with their very own Mashpia Rabbi Chaim Chazan, alongside a special guest from Crown Heights, Rabbi Mendel Schneerson. Rabbi Scheerson, an expert on Chabad niggunim, enhanced the atmosphere and uplifted everyone.
