Excitement Builds for New Cycle of Likutei Torah

With the launch of a new three-year cycle for Likutei Torah, Anash around the world are sharing their appreciation for this consistent learning framework which allowed them to achieve what many wish for: to finish Likutei Torah and Torah Ohr in full.

With the first three-year Likutei Torah cycle now coming to completion on Simchas Torah, and the start of the new three-year cycle beginning, participants around the world are expressing their appreciation for this unique learning framework.

The consistent Likutei Torah schedule made it possible for many to achieve what they had long hoped for: to finish Likutei Torah and Torah Ohr in full. Here are a few reflections from those who joined the journey.

Rabbi Yisroel Rice, Shliach to Marin County, California:

“The Alter Rebbe has given us a deep reservoir of the Mayanos, but for me, I would study a bit here, learn a bit there, give a shiur on the same piece year after year. I would think, hope and dream about completing LKT/TO. The 3-year cycle has vanquished the dream and brought this transformational study to reality. My profound gratitude to the organizers.”

Rabbi Yitzchok Miller, melamed at Cheder Lubavitch of Phoenix, Arizona:

“Personally, for many years, I tried to learn the chassidishe parsha weekly. BH, many times I was zoche to keep up with the Seder for all of sefer Bereishis, and a few times also through sefer Shemos. However, inevitably, I found that something would come up and interfere with my regular schedule, and it was always very difficult to get back on track. However, with the 3-year cycle providing a more manageable amount of learning, I found that I was able to stay consistent and complete the cycle. Using the moreh shiur, I was able to mark maamorim that I missed and was able to make them up. BH, I am looking forward to the new cycle and hoping that more people join.”

Rabbi Betzalel Bassman of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, founder of Project Likkutei Torah, and chief coordinator of Semichas Chaver Chabad and several online Beis Midrash courses:

“I use Rabbi Avraham Katz’s 3-year cycle moreh shiur each day. It has made the goal of completing Torah Or and Likkutei Torah attainable for me and many other members of Project Likkutei Torah. Thank you!”

Rabbi Yossi Schanowitz of Baltimore, Maryland:

“The idea of the three-year Likutei Torah project appealed to me right when I heard about it. I personally had a very hard time ever completing the ‘chasidishe parsha.’ Breaking it up into a more manageable amount made this doable. This allowed me to take the time to try to understand the Maamar, and maybe even expand on it on other Maamarim from the Rabeiem that are based on the mammer. The learning was geshmak and meaningful!”

Reb Shaul Nemtzov of Crown Heights:

“For years, I made it a point to learn Torah Ohr and Likkutei Torah on Shabbos morning. But I only managed to learn bits and parts of it. Learning through the whole set of Sefarim seemed like an unreachable goal. But thanks to Reb Avraham Katz for creating the 3-year Moreh Shiur learning schedule and translating many of the Maamarim that made it a pleasure to join the last 3-year cycle. I’m especially excited to join again now because Reb Avraham has prepared new PDFs that make the learning even more doable by dividing it into small daily portions, making this manageable even with my busy schedule and many responsibilities!”
