A verdict by judge Harriet L. Thompson confirmed exclusive rights to control and manage the synagogue at 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, New York, to Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch and Agudas Chasidei Chabad.

In her decision, Judge Thompson cited the testimony of attorney Mr. Nochum Gordon.

In this excerpt of an interview released by Lubavitch World Headquarters, Mr. Gordon speaks of his interactions with the Rebbe in drafting his will and in the revitalization of Lubavitch’s three central organizations.

Originally, Mr. Gordon was going to testify in person in court. However, the case was dragged out for many years, and in the interim, Mr. Gordon suffered a debilitating stroke, making it difficult for him to testify. Judge Thompson accepted this 2012 video interview as a valid source of testimony.

The interview was conducted by JEM’s My Encounter with the Rebbe project, and is copyright by Jewish Educational Media.
