A grand event marked the start of the daily Kollel Erev in Rechovot, Eretz Yisroel, with leading rabbonim, mashpi’im and shluchim, honoring members of Anash who, over this past year, mastered Seder Birkos HaNehenin and Hilchos Seudah.
On Monday night, a grand event took place at the central Chabad shul in Rechovot, celebrating the Torah and marking the start of the eighth year of the local Kollel Erev. The gathering paid tribute to Anash who consistently participated in the kollel.
During the event, certificates were awarded to dozens of yungeleit who successfully completed tests on Seder Birkos HaNehenin and the Halachos of Seudah. Many members of Anash attended, led by shluchim and rabbonim who came to join in the special celebration.
Honored rabbonim at the event included, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky, rov of the Anah community of Rechovot and deputy secretary of the Beis Din Rabbonei Chabad; Rabbi Meir Ashkenazi, rov of Kfar Chabad; Rabbi Mordechai Kastel, head shliach of Rechovot; and Rabbi Yaakov Shwica, maggid shiur at the Tomchei Temimim yeshiva in Kfar Chabad and a rov in Kiryat Malachi.
Other notables included, Rabbi Eliyahu Yechzekel, maggid shiur at the kollel; Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Levin, director of the kollel; Rabbi Yechiel Gluckowsky, rav of Young Anash shul and shliach; Rabbi Aryeh Lipsker, deputy mayor of Rechovot; and Rabbi Shaul Goldberg, treasurer and deputy chairman of the Rechovot Religious Council.
The event was adequately conducted by the director, Rabbi Levin, who extended his heartfelt thanks to the rabbonim for attending this unique gathering and all those who joined.
The ceremony concluded with a moving moment when members of the beis din awarded certificates to those who excelled in exams on Seder Birkos HaNehenin, along with a personal gift for each participant.
