‘Eida Charedis’ Magazine Interviews Rabbi Lazar About Chabad and Shluchim

For the first time in the history of the magazine, “HaEida,” the official mouthpiece of the ‘Eida Charedis’ in Yerushalayim, features a ten-page interview with the Rebbe’s shliach about Chabad activities.

In preparation for the upcoming holiday of Sukkos, a delegation of prominent officials from the Charedi community and the editors of their official newspaper called “HaEida” met for a holiday conversation with the Head Shliach and Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berel Lazar.

The conversation, which will be published in the special holiday supplement, covered many diverse issues on the public agenda. This was combined with the history of the mesirus nefesh of Russia’s Jews under the leadership of the Rebbe Rayatz, and a review of the extensive activities of the Rebbe’s shluchim throughout Russia.

The conversation, spread over ten pages, is published prominently in the supplement, amongst a number of holiday conversations and interviews with various Rabbanim. It is accompanied by photos of meetings of the Chief Rabbi with various Rebbes and Rabbonim.

This publication is a historic event, which tells about the great appreciation that exists amongst Jews of all circles and denominations, for the activity of the Rebbe’s Shluchim who work tirelessly in Jewish communities throughout Russia.

We appreciate your feedback. If you have any additional information to contribute to this article, it will be added below.

  1. It is on one hand nice to see a article in a newspaper like that about Lubavitch shluchim, but on the other hand a article that is careful not to mention the משלח is not the right thing.

  2. Dayan Weiss GAVAD of the Eida
Dayan Halbershtam a senior Dayan of the Eida
    amongst others,
    maintained active correspondences
With the Rebbe..and they had bitul for the Rebbe. So some obscure writer doesn’t mention the Rebbe.
If it’s intentional it’s because he’s an am haaretz k’pshuto!
Emphasis should be on the fact that the True yirei Shomayim and leaders of other groups held the Rebbe in great esteem-
    NATURALLY!
