Hundreds of mechanchim and mechanchos from around the world recently participated in a major Chinuch training initiative hosted by the Merkos Chinuch Office, exploring the Rebbe’s approach to Chinuch through the pesukim of Shema and Vehinei.

“When educators are inspired by the way the Rebbe views a child, it naturally trickles down to the students, and that’s where real Chinuch happens,” shared Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, General Chairman of the Merkos Chinuch Office.

The trainings provided mechanchim and mechanchos with practical, age-appropriate strategies to bring the pesukim of Shema and Vehinei to life in the classroom. Educators learned how to enhance davening, guide everyday interactions, and create meaningful experiences that help students of all ages connect with Hashem, fostering a deeper, more personal awareness of His presence throughout their day.

“These sessions are powerfully worthwhile and highly adaptable,” shared Mrs. Fruma Rosenberg, Director of  Cheder Yaldei Menachem in Hillside, NJ. “They shift the way you respond to yourself, your students, and even your own children.”

Participants emphasized that the sessions provided both a mindset shift and clear, actionable tools, equipping educators to guide students toward a stronger emotional and spiritual connection with Hashem.

One educator shared how the training had an immediate impact:

“I walked into a class that wasn’t interested in davening at all. Using what I had learned the night before, I was able to help them understand that Hashem is right near us, loves us, and takes care of us, and the atmosphere completely changed.”
