Mrs. Devorah Fox, the wife of Reb Shmuel Tzvi Fox, passed away on Shabbos, Acharon Shel Pesach. She was 93 years old.
Mrs. Fox was born in America to her parents Reb & Mrs. Yehuda Moshe Leib Goldsmith. In her youth, she was a friend of the late Rebbetzin Devora Groner, later of Melbourne. According to her son-in-law Rabbi Shmuel Galperin she “merited to get a echten chassidishen Yiddishen chinuch from Devora’s father, Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Hirsh Konikiv, a”h.”
She was a member of the Chevra Kadisha and was active in N’shei Chabad activities, especially in arranging shiurei chassidus, as well as was instrumental in arranging tehillim groups for Shabbos Mevorchim.
She is survived by her children: Rabbi Berel Fox – Crown Heights, Mrs. Sara Gottlieb – Oak Park, MI, and Mrs, Shifra Galperin – Crown Heights, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Shiva will be held at 440 Brooklyn Ave, Apt 4G, Brooklyn, NY 11225.
