Despite Obstacles, Gateshead Farbrengen Goes on as Planned
Despite some opposition, a large crowd from the Gateshead community gathered for an uplifting Yud Tes Kislev farbrengen with Rabbi Chilik Kalmenson, Rosh Yeshiva of Tomchei Temimim Brunoy.
A large crowd of Yidden from the Gateshead Jewish community gathered for a beautiful and uplifting Yud Tes Kislev farbrengen, marking the Rosh Hashanah of Chassidus.
The farbrengen featured Rabbi Yechiel Menachem Mendel “Chilik” Kalmenson, Rosh Yeshiva of Tomchei Temimim Brunoy, who farbrenged for many hours, weaving chidushei Torah with the practical avodah demanded by chassidus.
Despite some opposition from individuals who were uneasy about a celebration of Chassidus in this Litvish stronghold, the farbrengen went on as planned. The atmosphere was warm, earnest, and filled with chayus.
The community expressed gratitude for the opportunity to come together and celebrate the geulah of the Alter Rebbe in a meaningful way.

BH BH it was a beutiful event, and the bachurim from the yeshivos are so greatful for the farbrengen being arrranged in gateshead, leaving a very strong and lasting imprint of chasidus in the city.
