Family and friends danced in the street on London welcoming Rabbi Shaya Raskin of London, England on his return home Friday after surviving coronavirus.
Rabbi Raskin had been hospitalized with a severe case of the virus for many weeks, and had been on a ventilator for close to two months. Upon his return home he was greeted by family, friends and neighbors who celebrated the miraculous recovery with music and dancing.
His wife, Mrs. Chanie Raskin expressed her appreciation for all those that had davened for her husband during the past weeks.
“With hearts overflowing with gladness and gratitude to Hashem, we are totally overjoyed to be able to share with you, that BeChasdei Hashem, my husband, Refoel Avrohom Yeshaya Ben Rivka, whose name, you’ve all been storming the heavens for, is coming home,” she wrote.
“You’ve all walked this long long journey with us, each one of you, all these days and weeks, and Hashem heard your teffilos, and we will never be able to thank you enough…because there simply are no words that exist of that magnitude!” she said.
