Daily Gemara Shiur Celebrates Siyum

A Siyum on the first masechta in Shas was celebrated Motzei Shabbos and the next masechta was already started Sunday morning.

The masechta was learned over two months by participants of a daily daf shiur taught by Rabbi Fishel Oster, renowed Maggid Shiur in Oholei Torah.

In just over two months the shiur completed Berachos, and a grand siyum and Melave Malka was held in celebration of the accomplishment.

Rabbi Mordechai Gurary, Rov of Chevra Shas Shul, was the guest speaker. He spoke of the great importance of learning Gemara every single day, and the blessings it brings to one’s home.

Also speaking by the event were Magid Shiur Rabbi Fishel Oster, Rabbi Oppenheimer, Rabbi Rosenstein, Rabbi Avraham Rotban and Mr. Blumenfeld, an online participant from California who b’hasgacha protis was in town and came to join the siyum in person.

Participants spoke about how much meaning and fulfillment the daily Shiur brings into their daily lives.

Speakers also remarked mentioned that it is very much appreciated that besides the daf gemoroh, Rabbi Oster also integrates Chassidus points from Sichos and Maamarim as well as Halacha of the Alter Rebbe that are related to the daily daf.

Participants were inspired and excited to start the new Mesechtas Shabbos, with many new online participants joining the start of the new mesechta.
