Over Chol Hamoed, a special Avos Ubanim program will be hosted at Crown Heights and East Flatbush shuls, l’zchus our brethren in Eretz Yisroel. The program will feature prizes and a special grand raffle for all participants.
The days of Chol Hamoed are a special time that our children eagerly anticipate all year long. These are days of שמחה, and it is a mitzvah to be משמח our children. We must always remember that the greatest way to be משמח our children is by spending quality time with them, learning תורה, which is שקול כנגד כל המצות כולן.
In these times, when אחינו בני ישראל בארצנו הקדושה need our help, the Rebbe has told us that the best way we can give them the strength they need is for our children to learn as much תורה as possible.
As the posuk says: מִפִּי עוֹלְלִים וְיֹנְקִים יִסַּדְתָּ עֹז לְמַעַן צוֹרְרֶיךָ לְהַשְׁבִּית אוֹיֵב וּמִתְנַקֵּם
This year, Avos Ubanim has arranged a special Chol Hamoed program for boys and their fathers on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evenings, followed by Maariv. There will be a raffle for a $100 gift certificate, as well as many other amazing prizes.
The following three locations will host this special learning program:
– Merkaz Avreichim, located at 466 Albany Ave., from 6:00 – 7:00, followed by Maariv.
– Beis Avrohom Yitzchok, 305 Remsen Ave., 30 minutes before Mincha and 30 minutes after Mincha, followed by Maariv.
– Lincoln Place Shul, 1185 Lincoln Place, from 6:00 – 6:45, followed by Maariv.
