Crown Heights Women’s Circle Has Got You Covered
An anonymous Crown Heights resident is prepared to give twenty women $4,000 each to buy a brand new sheitel, to empower young women to wear a full sheitel outside the home with pride, clarity, and confidence.
With tremendous excitement, the Crown Heights Women’s Circle is proud to launch a powerful new initiative for kallahs and women in their shanah rishonah who are living in Crown Heights — centered on the beauty, strength, and power of the mitzvah of kisui rosh.
Wearing a full sheitel while outside the home is a declaration of kedushah, dignity, and deep connection to the Rebbe. Each time a woman steps outside wearing her sheitel, she is elevating not only herself and her family, but the entire community around her.
An anonymous Crown Heights resident is prepared to give twenty women $4,000 each to buy a brand new sheitel. The donor’s vision is simple and inspiring: to empower young women to embrace the mitzvah of wearing a full sheitel (as opposed to a tichel, fall, or any other partial covering that requires a hat/band/additional covering) outside the home with pride, clarity, and confidence. To participate and be included in the raffle:
1. Educational Series
Attend a two-part series led by Mrs. Esther Vilenkin exploring the halachos, hashkafos, and unique brachos associated with wearing a sheitel. These classes are designed to inspire, inform, and deepen appreciation for this special mitzvah.
2. The Sheitel Raffle
Upon completing the series, all women present (limit of 30 participants) who make a four-year commitment to (bli neder) wear a full sheitel outside the home, will be entered into a raffle to receive $4,000 toward a new sheitel of their choice. There will בעז”ה be two series with 10 drawings at each.
To reserve your spot in the upcoming series taking place on Tuesday, ז אדר and Thursday, טז אדר at 8:00PM, please fill out this form.
May we continue to bring more kedushah into our homes and into the streets of Crown Heights — one sheitel at a time.

This blows my mind. That someone cares this much about young girls commitment to sheitel wearing that they are willing to put out $80,000 to make it happen!
I’m sure the Rebbe has nachas.
The donor should be gebentcht.
And of course the women who make this hachlota.
And the Women’s Circle! What a beautiful initiative.
This is soooo special!!!
