A second Siyum HaRambam took place downstairs 770 on Motzei Shabbos. Harav Avrohom Osdoba of the Crown Heights Beis Din, and Rabbi YY Jacobson called in to address the Siyum.
The Siyum was also addressed by Rabbi Sholom Charitonov – Mashpia in Oholei Torah, Rabbi Shlomo Majasky – director of Machon L’Yahadus, and Rabbi Shimon Chirik.
The Motzei Shabbos siyum was organized by Rabbi Menachem Gerlitzky, who has been arranging siyumim on every set of halachos for decades, based on an instruction of the Rebbe to him. In the years before Gimmel Tammuz, the Rebbe used to give him a bottle of mashke nearly every Shabbos by the farbrengen for the siyum on Motzei Shabbos. Rabbi Gerlitzky brought one of those (empty) bottles to the siyum, and after pouring some mashke into it, distributed mashke to those by the siyum from the Rebbe’s bottle.
An additional siyum, celebrating the conclusion of the 39th cycle of Rambam, was held earlier this week, also in 770.
