Instead of being limited, the celebration is going global.
Every year, Tzach holds a Siyum Harambam in Crown Heights, attended by thousands from the community and beyond. Speakers and guests come from around the tri-state area.
However, this year, large gatherings are prohibited, and many were left wondering what would be with the Siyum. Would it be simply canceled?
In Tzach they spent the past few weeks working hard on a solution. Headed by the indefatigable Rabbi Shmuel Butman, they searched for a way to properly honor the Rambam, while at the same time staying safe and keeping health regulations.
The solution they came up with, is perhaps even better than the original.
This years siyum will not be limited to New York, or even to the tri-states. The siyum this year will reach every corner of the globe, and feature speakers from around America, London and even Eretz Yisroel.
“Instead of having to compromise this year’s celebration, it will be bigger than any other year,” organizers told Anash.org
The siyum will take place on Wednesday, the eve of the 17th of Tammuz, at 10:00 PM at RambamSiyum.com.
Concluding the Rambam will be Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Groner, shliach to North Carolina, in memory of his father, Rabbi Leibel Groner a”h.
Starting the 40th cycle of Rambam will be Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schwei, shliach to Luton, England, in memory of his father, Harav Aharon Yaakov Schwei a”h.
Addressing the crowd will be Harav Yitzchak Eizek Landau, Chief Rabbi of Bnei Brak, Harav Ezra Schochet, Rosh Yeshiva of YOEC, and Rabbi Moshe Weinberger of Eish Kodesh in Long Island.
