Family, friends, and students of Rabbi Zalman Baras a”h gathered Monday night at Bais Levi Yitzchok to mark his one-year yahrtzeit.
Rabbi Zalman Baras was a beloved mashpia to all of his many talmidim, first in Oholei Torah mesivta and later in Cincinnati.
The gathering was addressed by Rabbi Chaim Polter who spoke about Rabbi Baras’ love and dedication to each of his students, in physical and spiritual matters alike. Even in his final days, the needs of another yid were always on his mind.
Rabbi Mendy Karp spoke using Rabbi Baras’ own words on what being a chossid and a shliach of the Rebbe meant to him.
Also addressing the crowd were Rabbi Yossi Paltiel, mashpia in Chovevei Torah, and Rabbi Aron Ginsberg, director of Cheder Gan Yisroel in Boro Park.
