Classmates, teachers, and mothers of the Nigri International Shluchim Online School joined together for their annual reunion, a once-a-year event where they get to see each other in person and connect.
Every year, the students of the virtual school of the Shluchim Office eagerly await the annual Day of Celebration where they get to meet and spend a day with their classmates and teachers. Many of the students and teachers traveled great distances to join, even from international destinations far away.
The program began began with an interactive glow-in-the-dark art activity for the students with Mrs. Broh while the mothers participated in a Chinuch discussion with Morah Tiechtel. The girls then joined their mothers in the big hall where Morah Sheina Hertz welcomed everyone and students Yehudis Lieblich and Sara Perlstein recited Rebbe and Rebbetzin Kapitelach.
The students all watched a video presentation celebrating 18 years of Nigri Shluchim Online School before each class performed their own song they prepared about different Rebbetzins.
Grade 8 thanked the teachers as well as the PTA before giving each teacher a gift from the school. The amazing night ended off with dancing and a grand school picture
“Both parents and students shared joyful thanks for the outstanding Chinuch and special friendship opportunities the school provides every day,” shared director Morah Devora Leah Weiss. “This powerful reunion gives rejuvenation and Chayus the Young Shluchos bring back to their Makom Hashlichus.”
The program was led by director Morah Devora Leah Weiss and Morah Sheina Hertz with the dedicated team of staff including Altie Kaminetzky, Sorale Teitelbaum, Sara Brikman, Sheina Deutch, and Shaina Moskovitz. Special thanks to Fitche Benshimon for the music.
The Nigri International Shluchim Online School is a division of the Shluchim Office led by Rabbi Gedalya and Bassie Shemtov.
