In just under thirty days, we will mark 80 years since the Histalkus of the Rebbe’s father, Harav Levi Yitzchok. To mark the day, Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus has launched a website with a plethora of resources on his life and lessons.
On Chof Av 5744 – 40 years since the Histalkus of his father, the Rebbe said, “My father’s Yahrtzeit is seemingly a personal matter; one of relevance only to me. But, when taking into account the sequence of events in the years leading up to his passing, we find that the natural reason for his shortened life was due to the pain and suffering he endured in exile, itself a result of his efforts in the realm of spreading Yiddishkeit to all Jews with Mesirus Nefesh. Hence, his passing is indeed pertinent to all of the Jewish people.”
In just under thirty days, we will mark 80 years since the Histalkus of the Rebbe’s father, HoRav Levi Yitzchok. As the Rebbe urged in the Sicha above and on many occasions, this day is sure to be appropriately marked by Chassidim around the world, applying lessons from the life and Torah of the Baal Hahilula in our own lives.
To assist you and your family in preparing for this special day and marking it accordingly, Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus is pleased to share a plethora of resources on the life of HoRav Levi Yitzchok and Chof Av throughout the years in 770.
