Children Worldwide Experience Tishrei with the Rebbe

Over the past month, thousands of children from America to Australia joined JEM’s ‘Tishrei Explorers,’ bringing them into the atmosphere of Tishrei in 770, and giving them the opportunity to experience each special day with the Rebbe.

Some forty years ago, young Chaim Shaul Bruk eagerly anticipated Tishrei each year. The boy, who now serves as the shliach in Bozeman, Montana, knew that Tishrei meant a month of unforgettable experiences with the Rebbe in 770—moments he describes as “out of this world.”

Four decades later, and half a country away, his daughter was able to tap into that same energy. Tishrei Explorers, JEM’s nightly video production, gave Chaya Laya Brook her own “Tishrei with the Rebbe” experience to cherish.

“My daughter waited for bedtime every night to watch the daily video, they were created with class, warmth, and in a way that’s exciting for children,” Rabbi Brook shares. “I am so thankful to JEM for allowing my children to get an authentic taste of what I experienced as a child.”

The program’s impact extended far beyond simple video content. Each episode brought interactive elements that uplifted entire households, with children eagerly participating in daily missions and following a special calendar that taught them how to mark Tishrei as a chossid, from panim on Erev Rosh Hashana to the farewell following Simchas Torah. The program successfully brought the Rebbe’s presence and teachings to life for today’s young audience.

“Through these child-friendly clips of Tishrei with the Rebbe, our children—from preschool to middle school—gained a genuine understanding of what these special moments meant,” Mrs. Leah Itzinger of Philadelphia said. “The way the concepts were explained made it so relatable and real for them. Our entire family loved it!”

While the special Tishrei program has concluded, JEM emphasizes that this is just one component of their ongoing ‘Good Night My Child’ program. The year-round program continues to offer free, enriching content throughout all 12 months of the year, though in a different format from the daily Tishrei productions. For families who discovered Tishrei Explorers this season, make sure to stay connected through ‘Good Night My Child’ over the coming months.

Rabbi Zalman Tiechtel, shliach to Northeast Kansas, heartily agrees.

“Good Night My Child is such a special way to round out bedtime with my children. It’s a bite-sized video of the Rebbe that they can understand and appreciate. My children definitely enjoyed the added elements during Tishrei, and they are looking forward to continuing watching the nightly videos,” he says.

A special thanks goes to the supporters who made Tishrei Explorers possible, along with the year-round “Good Night My Child” program: Rabbi Mendy and Shana Glick, Rabbi Dovid and Goldie Tiechtel, and the members of the JEM foundation. The program was launched in loving memory of Shlucha Mrs. Henya Federman and her daughter Sterna Sara a”h
