1,500 children and parents proudly marched through the city of Netivot in honor of Rebbi Shimon bar Yochai. The colorful parade was organized by Rabbi Dovid Suissa, featuring balloons, signs, flags, children’s hats, a marching band, and beautiful floats.

The parade marched through the streets and stopped at a training field where the program was held. At the training field, every child received an ice pop, water bottle, and raffle ticket, as well as an exciting gift – a new and fascinating book “Our Nation’s Heroes” Vol. 4.

During the program, the children watched an international flexibility show by acrobat Roman Krichli. They then all released giant heart-shaped balloons with hachlatos tovos attached by all the children for the success of IDF soldiers and the release of the hostages.

“Boruch Hashem I had the privilege of organizing the Lag B’Omer parade for the children of Netivot for 25 years and seeing the development of the parades growing along with the city’s expansion, bringing new and exciting ideas every year,” said Rabbi Gil Manor, a shliach in Netivot.
